"Golek Garwo" adalah sebuah forum pencarian jodoh yang setiap bulan diselenggarakan secara tatap muka di Yogyakarta. Basri (62 tahun) seorang buruh yang ingin mempunyai pasangan, satu dari ratusan peserta yang terdaftar dalam acara tersebut, terpikat dengan Musiyem (56 tahun) yang juga terdaftar sebagai peserta Golek Garwo. Mereka kemudian memutuskan untuk mengikuti acara nikah massal, tapi keinginan Basri untuk hidup bersama ternyata tidak sesuai dengan yang ada.----“Golek Garwo” is a matchmaking forum, held monthly vis-a-vis in Yogyakarta. Basri (62 years old), a worker who longed for love and one out of hundreds of participants of the event, falls for Musiyem (56 years old), who is also a participant. They then decide to join a mass wedding, but Basri’s wish for a life together turns out differently in reality.

Golek Garwo

Mbah Kancil, 80 tahun, bercerita tentang masa lalunya sebagai seorang penari di kelompok penari Remang dan komedian di kelompok tradisional Ludruk. Ia mengingat sebuah perjalanan ke Jakarta bersama dengan kelompok Dagelan Pete di tahun 60-an, yang membuatnya merefleksi hidupnya dan keinginan terakhirnya.----An eighty years old Mbah Kancil, talks about her past as a dancer and comedian in the traditional group of Ludruk performers and Remong dancers when she travels to Jakarta together with Dagelan Pete group in the 60', while reflecting on her life existence and her final wish.

Shin Hua, barbershop yg didirikan pada tahun 1911. Pada masa itu, Shin Hua menjadi tempat cukur paling ramai dan terkenal di Surabaya. Dari 12 orang bersaudara, hanya Freddy putra keempat yang bersedia untuk meneruskan usaha Ayahnya. Tahun demi tahun, Freddy berjuang seorang diri tanpa bantuan dari saudara-saudara kandungnya. Generasi selanjutnya pun tidak ada yang mau melanjutkan usaha cukur rambut milik Kakek mereka. Seiring tahun berganti, Shin Hua kehilangan pelanggannya, makin sepi dan kini diambang kebangkrutan. Kecintaannya kepada cukur rambut membuat Freddy masih bertahan hingga saat ini.----Shin Hua, a barbershop since 1911, used to be a well-known favorite. Among the 12 brothers, only Freddy, the fourth son, was willing to continue the family business. Year after year, Freddy preserves the place without the help of his brothers. Even his descendants were adamant in taking up their grandfather’s mantle. As the years continued to pass, the number of clients dwindled, and today’s Shin Hua is nearing bankruptcy. A love for the simple act of a barber is keeping Freddy from closing Shin Hua forever.
